Postgraduate Colloquium
The goal of this Postgraduate Colloquium at IICRO 2024 is to assemble postgraduate students who are at various stages of their research in these fields but are not limited to: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Creative Multimedia, Library Science and Information Management areas. This colloquium offers a distinct experience compared to typical conference sessions. Here, students are encouraged not only to present findings from their focused postgraduate research but also to discuss the broader implications of their work for the larger community and its contribution to the academic field.
The intention is to motivate postgraduate candidates to share a more comprehensive view of their research endeavors, emphasizing the significance of their research questions and how their work benefits the wider research community. Participants have the opportunity to present either their current or proposed research for thorough and constructive critique from a panel of research experts. Additionally, candidates are encouraged to highlight the challenges they encounter in their research, seeking valuable insights and fresh perspectives from both expert panels and fellow postgraduate students.
While the colloquium primarily targets students in the middle or final stages of their research journey, early-stage postgraduate students are also strongly encouraged to attend. This will provide them with new insights into the trajectory of postgraduate research. The postgraduate colloquium will be conducted in hybrid mode.
